Simple. Relaxing. Enjoyable. These are just three underrated words which can be used to describe Lashings Coffee House on Broad Quay. Just outside the frantic hustle and bustle of the city's centre, good customer service and tasty treats rule supreme here. You may not have comfy sofas or the choice of 1,000 ways to take your coffee but there is service with a smile and a peaceful atmosphere.
Alongside a range of fair trade coffees, teas and herbal beverages are a whole host of sweets for you to enjoy (the best is bar far a French Fancy for just 40p). Lashings Coffee House is an excellent contender to Starbucks and Costas on a street with very little competition. -

Lashings Coffee House is a cafe at the waterfront in the center of Bristol. Alongside being a coffee house, they do teas, several special hot chocolates, and iced drinks too, like a malteser milkshake, peaches and cream sundae and a coconut ice drink made with bounty chocolate. You get a good choice here for drinks which is pretty good. There are plenty of syrups here to spruce up a regular coffee- vanilla, caramel, gingerbread, mint and banana!
For food, there's a long list of toasted sandwiches, hot soups or salads, and cakes like brownies, flapjacks, and even biscuit dunkers for your drink of choice.
This coffee house does pay some attention in providing a more varied coffee experience, however to call it a coffee house doesn't seem quite right. It lacks the wholesomeness of one, and comes off as yet another run of the mill cafe.
